Creating a Case with MWS - questions they ask and responses

If you need to reach out to MWS OR you need a customer to, give them the following answers:

a) Description of the issue: What is the expected behavior and the issue you are encountering?

Just describe what's supposed to be happening and what is actually happening.

b) Which Section API are you referring to?

Scratchpad lists these pretty well, but a cheat is also to look at which scratchy setting you're looking at like Reports, Feeds, Fulfillment, etc.

c) Which operation are you calling?

Submit Feed, Get Report, etc and the name of it like _POST_FBA_INBOUND_CARTON_CONTENTS__

d) Time-stamp for your request (date, time and timezone for the failing operation) and submission/request ID (or batch ID) if available

You can find this in scratchy, I like to give the submitted and completed processing date and time down to a T with the UTC timezone.

The batch ID is the Feed Submission ID in Scratchy

e) For which marketplaces is this request?

COM: ATVPDKIKX0DER - it's always going to be this.

f) Developer ID for the software/application/interface being used to submit the request and the Merchant ID

Developer ID: 3594-8776-8429  < this is our developer ID so it will always be this.
Merchant ID: Find the merchant ID in scratchy

g) A copy of your request and the response you received, not truncated, saved as .txt

Get the full results of the product feed or box content feed from LogEntries and if there's an error that comes with it give them that too. Paste it into a word doc and save as .txt plain text document to attach.
