MSKU Customization allows you to select variables and structure MSKUs how you'd like to see them when they are created.
To manage your custom MSKU settings, click your Account Name and select Settings from the dropdown menu.
Click General from the left menu.
Next, scroll to the MSKU Customization section.
While working on a batch, you can also click the Edit button on the List>List & Prep page to adjust these settings as needed.
You can choose your level of customization by selecting to:
- Let IL Create My MSKU - Let InventoryLab autogenerate MSKUs for you without any custom settings
- Use Set MSKU Prefix - Enter a set prefix you want to include at the beginning of each MSKU

Use Variable MSKU - Generate MSKUs based on up to four of the following variables:
- BUY COST
- ASIN
- CONDITION
- CUSTOM
- LIST PRICE
- PURCHASE DATE
- SALES RANK
- SUPPLIER
When Use Set MSKU Prefix is selected, you can click the text field next to MSKU Prefix to enter or edit your prefix.
To save the changes, click Save.
When Use Variable MSKU is selected, you set up or edit the variable formula by clicking the pencil icon.
Clicking the pencil icon opens a selection panel so you can select variables & separators.
Note: The Count will always be included when using variables as a failsafe to keep your MSKUs unique.
To add a variable option, click + Add Option and choose your selection from the dropdown menu.
To delete a variable option, click the trash can icon next to it.
If you need to change the position of an option in the formula, you can move each one by clicking and dragging them up or down to their new position.
As you build the MSKU formula, a preview of the new MSKU will be available at the bottom of the panel. A sample of the MSKU will also be available on the Settings>General page once saved.
Once you've made your selections, click Save Formula to proceed, or click Cancel to go back.
