Where is the Live Workflow option?

Amazon is requiring that all 3rd-party tools migrate to their new Selling Partner API by December 31st, 2022.  This API does not offer the functionality needed for the Live Workflow in Stratify, so it is no longer supported.

Inbound Shipping API changes the function of updating shipments in working status, and will no longer allow additional MSKUs to be added to existing shipments.  This affects InventoryLab in the following ways:

  • Live Workflow is no longer available.

  • The Add to Existing Shipment function is no longer available for all batches.

  • Each shipment can have no more than 200 unique MSKUs. These batches will be split into separate shipments, even if they are going to the same fulfillment center.

Note: This limitation only applies to the number of unique MSKUs allowed in a shipment.  There is no limitation on how many units per unique MSKU can be added to a shipment.

Due to these changes, the Private Workflow will be the only option available when creating batches in Stratify going forward.  If you're not familiar with listing in Private batches, please check out the resources linked below for steps:

FAQ

How do I know the destinations for my items with the Private Workflow?

When adding items to a Private batch, the destinations shown are Tentative:

At this stage, we make our best guess as to where Amazon will send the items, but the actual destinations are unknown until the batch is submitted to Amazon.

The destinations are final after you sync feeds for the batch and get to the Proposed FBA Shipping Page, where you create FBA shipments for the items.  We do not recommend packing your boxes until you get to this portion of the workflow.

I used the Auto Assign Box Content feature with my Live batches.  Is there anything similar for Private batches?

The Private Workflow offers a Scan to Pack feature, as well as several options to assign items to boxes in bulk:

When using Scan to Pack, you can also adjust your Stratify Print Settings so labels print as items are scanned.

Will the Live Workflow ever be added back?

No, not unless Amazon adds the functionality needed for the Live Workflow to their new Selling Partner API.

Amazon has stated these changes were made to prevent adding additional items to shipments without planning.  Unfortunately, our efforts in requesting this to be changed with Amazon have not been successful.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the limitations of the Selling Partner API, you may contact Amazon’s Seller Support SPAPI team.
